What matters most?

Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. – Albert Einstein

Of all the commandments, which is the most important?

– a teacher of the Law in Mark 12:28

We live in a world filled with advertising messages about what matters the most. The right labels, the right look, the right height, weight, hair style or tat. The right bank account balance, the right car, the right kind of water even. But as Christians we are called to live counter-culturally.  What matters to the world and what matters to Jesus might not always match up.

Tonight at our dinner we’ll be thinking a bit about what matters most. What do you value, what do you strive for, and how can others tell what matters to you? How do you spend your time or your money? Who benefits from your gifts and talents? What are your big hopes and dreams? I’m looking forward to hearing what you have to say and sharing together about how Jesus answered the question:  what matters most?

Below are the times and places for the presby get-togethers this week. If the coffee time doesn’t work for you, just lemme know and we’ll find a place and time to connect!

Peace Y’all, Jen
