I am a retired nurse and serious runner. My interest in and commitment to the Koinonia Center goes back quite a few years. I love the opportunity to stay involved with students – to hear their perspectives about the world around us and share what I know as well. I’m proud to be a part of a place that encourages faith and questions.
Steve Stermer, Board Treasurer
Hello, I am Steve Stermer and have been on the Koinonia Center Board since 2008. I currently serve on the K Center Board as Treasurer.
I too attended the University of Oregon receiving my Bachelors Degree in 1975, my Masters Degree in 1979, and completing the Oregon Schools Administrator Certification Program in 1990. I am now a retired Oregon Public School Educator and my wife and I live across the river in Springfield. We delight in seeing students grow into confident adults as they navigate the “Ivory Halls” of the University of Oregon, and are thankful for the part the Koinonia Center plays in this process.
